Record Rainfall

Kokata was hardest hit by the monsoon winds on September 24 , 2007 . It seems like the rainfall will never end . The city’s drainage system which was already old has basically collapsed . The natural drainage system has been destroyed as a result of the building boom . Ponds and tanks which took the bulk of the rainwater underground are all been covered up to make land for the buildings . As a result the water cannot seep easily into the water table . The water table has also fallen because of the constant removal of underground water .

One conclusion that i have come to is that most of the rain occurs in/around Sunrise 05:25 (IST) and Sunset 17:30 (IST) .
