Colonization of the mind

The Colonial period , within which very few of the old world cultures had survived had its impact on India too . The British not only colonized our country but colonized us mentally , so much so that we feel the guilt of speaking wrong English , but when it comes to our mother tongue we donot even bother about its grammar . Very soon she could have been portrayed as a naked black woman giving away her riches to the mighty Britannia . The days when the islanders glorified themselves in art all across India might be over , but can we really come out of their spell ?
