Peking man : Eat lead

Disapproving the Peking Man theory

I am going to make this post to discuss about a hot topic that i am interested in , rather than letting other topics be hampered with such discussions . And yes , this is related to China and also related to our understanding of human evolution .

First of all I won’t be posting my views , rather the established views of genealogists . The subject of this debate will be simple – Does the descendants of the Peking man exist today ?

Fist thing to remember while posting here , is that nationality and ethnicity would and should not be taken into consideration . You may take any side , change your side , whatever . Just keep posting links , videos , etc from genuine media .

Again this is not a political debate , so hope you move keeping that in mind .

Before we start let me remind you that

Humans are not one end of a long line of evolving creatures , rather an ever changing animal that constantly evolving . So both of the theories are possible .

Life evolved some 4 billion years back and took almost 1 billion to move to the multicellular lever and another 1.5 to come ashore . The dinosaurs died out some 65 million years back and the first intelligent bipedal apes to roam earth came only 2 million years back .

It is from this period of time that we see the ingredients necessary to build the first super creature to solely dominate earth .

Point one to remember is that all humans evolved from monkeys and all of these Bipedal apes came from africa , which includes homo erectus . So like it or not , even if the peking man(descendant of homo erectus) did survive , it is still the same ape (actually it was our distant cousin , before it became extinct) .

There is a similar theory that cro magnons interbred with neanderthals giving rise to the modern europeans . However Neanderthals died out about 22,000 years ago , compared to 780,000 years in the case of Peking man .
