Planet Earth Is in deep trouble

Planet Earth is in deep trouble , and i can feel it in the air . It rained here tonight … what rain ? Does it ever rain during winter ? No , but actually it was good news . Finally we will be getting some much needed winter chill .

The problem started back in the summer season , with the scarcity of rainfall . Last year there was overproduction of crops , so the villagers , like , had to sell all their harvests off , and at much lower prices . The farmers who failed to do so , got their crops rotting in their backyard . Many of them could not repay back the loans they had taken from landlords and banks . Some even committed suicide , same as the year before last .

So this year , it could be either the lack of rainfall , or the willingness of the farmers not to sow too much crops drove up prices . The lack of foodstuff forced the govt to import food from neighboring countries and even Australia . However tonnes of potatoes , rice lay stacked at the harbour and rotted , due to disputes between the harbour authorities and govt .

Coming out of these meager disputes and looking at the broader perspective , whatever man had been doing to Mother Earth , it is a miracle she is still alive , or should i say , she has kept it well enough for us to stay alive . Ice free Earth did not wipe out the dinosaurs , nor can it wipe us out . Then again , it is not the question of our survival , it is about how well each one of us can live .
