The savior and the slave

I woke up in the morning anticipating the journey ahead, just as I brushed my teeth and put my clothes on and came outside the inn, I saw all the goods taken out of the cart, buckets left rolling on the ground, crows peaking our food stuffs, a dog chewing on one of my slippers that I had left with the traders’ cart. I shooed the hound away and managed to save one of slippers, the other was mutilated. I looked helplessly as the straps fell of when I lifted the piece.

A moment of silence was shattered when I saw my precious a flock of crows now trying to open my bags and eat grains from that. I drew my sword and attacked the ravens, the flew dropping on my stuffs. The moment of sadness was eclipsed by a gust of anger shooting right up my head. In rage I southed and called the traders.

I went straight to Shylock’s home and told him I was willing to stop the traders, whom I now angrily reffered to as pirates. Shylock was happy that I was on his side. I came back to the inn informing Dschej and Josjep that the traders had rebelled. Ankie was in the bathroom and immediately came out after hearing this, after he finished his job there, obviously. The four went right outside, to the village square and challenged the traders. There were now eight of them against four of us, one more trader had came along, not sure who he was.

The new guy stepped forward and said that they wanted their money back from Shylock otherwise they would burn down the whole place. I asked everyone in the town who was ready to face them, I told them they must unite and fight if they want to win, instead a middle aged guy stepped forward and thrashed Shylock saying he is responsible for their situation, he must now sell his house or they will kill him, I took out my sword and held it at that man’s throat, Ankie kicked him, he fell and started running to our enemy’s side. Josjep said he was ready for any challenge the traders could throw at us, he thanked him by saying I was proud of him.

The traders slowlyĀ approachedĀ us, showing their palms that they were unarmed. We fourĀ approachedĀ them along with Shylock. We told them that there will be a challenge one-on-one, if we win it Shylock will not have to give them the money. They intervened before I could finished and said if they win they will takeĀ possessionĀ of Shylock’s house and his daughter. Shylock tried to protest, but they wouldn,’t listen.

We chose Josjep for the duel against one of their best armed mercenary. It was a one-on -one fight but I was sure the merchants would not be true to their words. So i kept up another plan up my sleeve. While Josjep went ahead of the match in a fenced area. I brought in my bows and arrows, Anky had got his crossbow and bolts and throwing axes. The villagers had gather to cheer for us, although there were considerable number of people in there side.

Josjep won the first round and out dominating on the next. Few minutes through and there were arrows flying in the air and muskets fired from behind the trees. Few of the villagers were hit. IĀ advisedĀ them to go home, then took aim and shot the mercenary on the neck, he died instantly. The merchants and their bandits now launched a full attack they brought in torches and lopped them on the thatched huts. Anky threw an axe and split the chest of the guy who betrayed us into halves. We took out our magic arrows and fired. It was a blood bath, a single arrow killed half of their men. The traders and they irregular bandits began to flee. Anky shot and bolt and killed off the new trader. The villagers now took to arms and slaughtered the rest.

Shylock turn around and looked up to the mound where were standing and smiled at us, politely saying thanks.
