I was searching for ancient India themed movies, drunk with a bottle of red wine, on youtube specially inspired by the epic telefilm of the 80s, ‘Chanakya’. I was trying to search any historical documentary on Magadh, the ancient superpower of India, currently a part of northern India. Although I failed to get a suitable result, some of the result pictures were of a southie bhabi (Indian milf) in a skinny clad sari, ‘probably a princess of some masala story,’ my hunch said. The natural instinct was to go ahead and click it.
Click it, I did, however, I was transported to an Indian version of ‘300’ where a hero was trying to save the life of the bhabi whom we had met, the reason we were here. Apparently the battle looked like a skirmish between hindus and muslims only fun was a statue of Shiva built atop a piece of rock adjoined to the mountain cliff by a narrow rock bridge and the antagonist – Sher Khan, ordering his archers to shoot down the hapless allies of our hero and bhabi.
After the barrage of arrow fire only our hero and bhabi are left top the rock, Shiva standing tall casting the shadow of his locks on them. Sher Khan challenges our hero, whose name I figured was Bhairava. The subtitles in Vietnamese began to flash numbers, which increased as our hero came heavy on the Khan’s forces trying to cross the narrow bridge. By this time Bhairava had killed a hundred of the Khan’s men, for some reason he instead of becoming mad, had tears in his eyes, possibly the KhanĀ likedĀ people who could kill.
Just then as he tried toĀ appreciatedĀ the hero, another villain came from nowhere and whispered to the Khan, the Vietnamese subtitles came up withĀ exclamationsĀ to show the intensity of his words. The Khan backed off leaving the arena for the two fighters to lock horns. The newer villain was slowly losing, then out of his frustration he played a mean trick by a throw dagger which struck the princess. She fell dying at the edge of the cliff as Bhairava took care of the villain, slicing his head out.
When he came by the side of the dying princess, their eyes locked and she fell from the edge of the cliff, Bhairava followed herĀ jumpingĀ off the edge of the cliff, straightening his body and leaning forward to reach her hand for the last time. However, he missed and they fell into the abyss.
Fancy, my mind raced, this seems better than any Bollywood movie I’d ever seen.
