A Rishi once sat on the river bed meditating and supporting his hand a handstand. He had gained enough power to overthrow the king of the gods Indra and besiege his heaven. Indra already weary of the wars with the Asuras tried to find a way to subdue the power of the Rishi.
After consulting with several ministers he set up a plot to fool the rishi. He sent an apsara, a celestial dancer to dance in front of the sage opening her clothes one after another until there was nothing left.
