Tantra

Tantra becomes the most appealing form of Spirituality. According to the Tantric philosophy, the sexual union leads to the ultimate union. But this union is not to procreate. Through the sexual union, one consecrates a Goddess. In such a consecration, a Tantric employs what is known as the offering of the nine flowers: embracing (alingana), kissing (chumbanam), fondling the breasts , biting, touching (sparshanam) extending to the vagina, pressing the penis, entry, and lastly, penetration (pravesham). These are known amongst Tantrics as flowers in the practice of maithuna.
