Greek to me again

The number of  movies related to Greek Mythology have increased dramatically over the past few years. Greek Mythology is nothing new to Hollywood. They have been making movies related to mythologies over decades. But these few years have been special, because the movies are meme setter, creating a number of popular scenes that continue to be duplicated and even parodied for years to come.

An example would be the scene from the movie ‘300’ that came to be known as ‘This is Sparta’ where Leonidas, the Spartan king kicks the Persian ambassador into a well. All the scenes are similar with the protagonist kicking someone down a deep pit shouting out his theme. The upcoming movies like Immortals 2 and Wrath of the Titans captures the story of titanomachy.
